WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Wathaba offers self-catering accommodation with a minimum two-night stay (three nights on long weekends). Pets are not allowed. All water on the farm is safe to drink and ample firewood is provided for donkey geysers and to braai with. Extra wood is available at R60 per wheelbarrow (cash only). Toilet paper and hand soap is supplied. A 50% deposit is required to secure bookings, with the balance due one month before arrival. Please note, music and loud noises are prohibited and guests are asked to respect others on the farm. Please also note that we do not have camp sites for tents or caravans nor the extra facilities to cater to the before mentioned. The accommodation listed hereafter is the only available options we have .
The three hiking camps along the Schoonspruit stream have no electricity, only solar-powered lights and no plugs. Mattresses and fitted sheets are provided, but guests must bring their own bedding and pillows. Facilities include outside and undercover braai areas, two-plate gas stoves, some cookware and braai grids. Guests must bring their own cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils, plus a cooler bag with ice for food and drinks. Ice is sold at R20 a bag (cash only).
The guesthouse, cabin and cottage are located about 1km from the start of the hiking trails. They all have electricity and donkey geysers for hot water, apart from Bloubos Retreat, which has an electric geyser. These units are all fully furnished with fully equipped kitchens and bedding and towels are provided.
